What are Battle Cards?
Battle cards are rebuttals that appear on your salesperson's call screen when specific trigger words or phrases are said by the customer. These provide your sales team with immediate responses to common objections, helping them keep the conversation flowing toward booking a job or securing a deposit.
For example, when a customer says "that's too expensive" or mentions "looking at other options," battle cards provide instant rebuttals on the call screen to help your salesperson respond effectively.

Best Practices for Battle Cards
- Balance specificity: Make trigger words specific enough to be relevant but not so specific that they're rarely said
- Avoid overly general triggers: Words that are too common might cause the battle card to appear too frequently
- Include variations: Think of different ways customers might express the same objection
- Keep responses actionable: Provide clear, concise direction on how to address the objection
- Review regularly: Update battle cards based on call performance and feedback
How Battle Cards Work During Calls
When your sales team is on a call with Copilot open:
- The system listens for any trigger words or phrases
- When detected, the appropriate battle card appears immediately in the middle of their screen
- The salesperson can use the suggested responses to address the customer's objection
- This helps maintain conversation flow and overcome potential sales obstacles
By effectively utilizing battle cards, you can help your sales team confidently handle objections and improve their conversion rates.
