Overview
If you dial from outbound call queues in the Sales App, whether a team member or a voice agent does the calling, you can now give each queue its own calling hours for every day of the week and turn outbound calling off entirely on a given day.
Before this, a queue had one calling window that applied to all seven days. If you follow state telemarketing rules that differ by day, you had to choose between using the strictest day’s hours for the whole week and breaking the rule on some days.
The weekly schedule is rolling out company by company. Before the Supermove team turns it on for you, they copy each queue’s current calling window onto all seven days, so every queue keeps the hours it had until you change them.
Navigating to the Module
The Calling Window & Timezone column on the Call Queues tab now sums up each queue’s whole week in one line, such as “Every day 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT” or “Sun off, Mon–Fri 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET, …”. Days that share the same hours are grouped together, and days you’ve turned off are labeled as off. A queue with no schedule still reads Any time. A long schedule gets cut off in the cell, but you can always see the full week in the queue’s drawer.
Editing the Call Queue
The Edit Outbound Call Queue drawer used to have a single Start, End, and Timezone for every day. It now has a Calling Schedule dropdown with three choices:
- Anytime: the queue dials at any hour
- Window: the queue dials only during the hours you set for each day
- Off: the queue never dials
When you choose Window, you set one Timezone for the whole week. Then each day from Sunday through Saturday gets its own row, where you can turn the day on or off and set its start and end times. When you turn a day off, its hours stay in place but greyed out, so turning it back on restores them. If a day’s end time is earlier than its start time, that day’s window runs past midnight.
Assessing Outbound Calling
When a queue is outside its hours, the notice at the top of Outbound Calling now shows today’s hours and tells you exactly when dialing resumes. If that’s later than tomorrow, it names the day. On a day you’ve turned off, the notice says the queue is closed today and gives the next day it opens. A paused queue stays started. Queued calls keep their place and dial in order when the next window opens, and a call that’s already under way when the window closes doesn’t get cut off. If you’re an admin, you’ll also see an Edit calling window link that opens the queue’s settings.
