This article will walk you through each of the toggles that can be configured on a specific job:
We will dive into the configuration from the Office App, Crew App, and how it impacts what the customer receives (Customer App). We will discuss each of the toggles at length, as well as how the toggles impact each other.
Enable Additional Charge
This toggle has been deprecated, and will soon be removed (if it hasn’t already). Feel free to ignore this toggle for now, as it serves no purpose.
Assign Large Crew
This toggle is outdated and will soon be combined with the “Enable Per Mover Timesheet” toggle. Keep this toggle off until it is removed (if it hasn’t been removed already).
Enable Confirmation Feature
This toggle is on by default for all customers. Disabling this toggle will turn off the confirmation steps for a particular job type. No confirmation steps will be displayed or required to move the job forward.
Enable Double Drive Time
This toggle is for our California customers. The Double Drive Time Law (DDT), passed by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), requires California based moving companies to double the amount of time it takes to get from the origin point to the destination point at the agreed upon hourly rate.
If this is enabled, Supermove will automatically calculate and add the Double Drive Time to the bill. You no longer have to calculate and do the math, Supermove will do it for you!
Enable Double Drive Time Over 10 Miles
When this is enabled, if the move is less than 10 miles, no Double Drive Time will show. However, if the move is more than 10 miles then Double Drive Time will be enabled.
Enable Pre-Payment Quickbooks Sync
If this is toggled on, Supermove will sync the customer info from Supermove to QuickBooks when payments are made; as apposed to the normal functionality of syncing with Quickbooks when the reports are finalized. This toggle is rarely utilized.
Enable Quote Feature
This toggle is on by default for all customers. Disabling this toggle will turn off the quote steps for a particular job type. No quote steps will be displayed or required to move the job forward.
Allow Documents to be Skipped
Having this toggle on will allow the customer to skip documents where a signature is requested. Keep in mind that this is all or nothing. You won’t be able to select specific documents that you would like to skip. The skip button looks like this:
Allow Skip Pre-Move Payment
Enabling this toggle will surface a skip option for any pre-move payments. It is important to note that this toggle is tied directly to the “Pre Move Billing,” toggle on which is configured in the Crew Steps section. Having this toggle disabled will require action from the customer in the pre-move billing phase.
Edit Billing and Payments
Having this toggle on enables a button for crew members to edit the bills and add payments. This is shows up before the crew selects “Prepare Documents.” When the crew member scrolls down to the “Billing,” section, a big blue button will show up on the right-hand side of the screen. It looks like this:
If this toggle is "off", the edit button simply will not show up. If the crew taps on the edit button they will be able to add additional supplies, discounts, hourly rates, and even custom items.
In addition to this, they will be able to add payments they they received prior to move. For example, if a deposit is required before the crew starts moving, then the crew can collect the deposit from this screen by clicking “Add Payments”:
Enable Per Mover Timesheet
Having this toggle on will enable the per-mover timesheet vs the standard single move timesheet. The per-mover timesheet will require each mover to have their own timesheet. This is primarily for commercial moves.
Enable Post-Move Automatic Invoice
Automatically "invoice" the bill after the bill is prepared by the crew. This skips all customer billing screens and leaves a balance. This is for jobs where the person paying will not be on site. Like a commercial, or military move.
Hide Crew App Billing
Toggling this option on will hide the billing section for the crew. Keep in mind that enabling this will directly impact the “Edit Billing and Payments” toggle as it won’t show up even if it’s toggled on.
Set Start Time on Arrival at Location
It’s standard to have this toggle on. Having this enabled will set the start time for the timesheet right as the crew arrives at the first location of the move. This will encourage your crew to get started quickly.
Set Start Time on Departure from Warehouse
This toggle will start the timesheet as soon as the crew leaves the warehouse.
Show Pre-Move Bills
Having this Toggle off will hide the Pre-Move bill that is shown to the customer before they sign off on the documents. Below is a basic example of the step that would be skipped.
Things to Note: For this toggle to work, you must also disable the “Pre Move Billing” step on the “Crew Steps” section
View Bills During Move
This toggle is actually set to be removed entirely (if it hasn’t already), and doesn’t currently have a function.
Send Arrival SMS
When this toggle is enabled, Supermove sends a text to the customer when the Movers get near the origin location AND it’s within 30 minutes (plus or minus) of the start time. For example, if the move start time is 9 am, and the crew gets near the origin location anywhere from 8:30am to 9:30 am, a text will automatically be sent to the customer.
Send Tracking Link on Drive Started
This is a convenient option to have to automatically notify customers of when the crew leaves the warehouse. Supermove will automatically send a text message to the customer with a link to track the tablet as soon as the tablet recognizes that it is moving faster than 15 MPH. This ensures transparency with the customer, and encourages your crews to arrive at the customer location as quickly as possible.
Send Tracking Link on First Position
Having this option enabled will send a text message to the customers with a link to track the tablet. The message will be send as soon as the job is started on the tablet, and not according to when the tablet recognizes that it’s moving faster than 15 MPH.
