Overview
If you're a van line agent, your van line projects now show the van line order directly on the project page. You can see where the move is going, the pack, load and delivery dates, and what the customer owes, without creating pack, load and delivery jobs first.
Supermove also now saves the customer charges your van line sends with each order. You can review them on a new Charges tab and collect the customer's payment from there.
In this article, you'll learn how to:
- Read the new Order Details block on a project
- Sync an order to get the latest information from your van line
- Review customer charges on an order
- Collect a customer payment from the Charges tab
View Order Details on a Project
Open any van line project. A new Order Details block is the first item under Move Details.
The block shows the order number and when it last synced with your van line, followed by:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Origin | Where the move starts |
| Destination | Where the move is going |
| Pack Dates | The scheduled pack date or date range |
| Load Dates | The scheduled load date or date range |
| Deliver Dates | The scheduled delivery date or date range |
| Customer Charges | The customer's total. Click it to open the order's Charges tab. |
Dates appear exactly as your van line sent them, as a single day or a range. The block always shows the order's latest information, so there's no need to edit a job to keep it current.
You'll also see the same information in the Project Details side panel and in the mobile app.
Sync an Order from Your Van Line
To pull the latest version of an order from your van line:
- On the project, click the ⋮ menu in the top-right corner of the Order Details block.
- Select Sync from van line.
- Confirm the sync. The order number is filled in for you.
When the sync finishes, the block refreshes with the latest details and an updated Last Sync time.
From the same menu, select View Order to open the full order in your van line settings.
Review Customer Charges
Each van line order now has a Charges tab, right after Overview. To open it, click the Customer Charges amount on the project, or go to Settings → Van Lines, open the order, and select Charges.
The tab lists every customer charge your van line sent, with its Name, Code, Qualifier and Amount. The Customer Total appears at the bottom. You can sort the list or search it for a specific charge.
Collect a Customer Payment
You can take the customer's payment directly from the Charges tab:
- On the Charges tab, click Add Payment.
- Choose Record payment, Charge credit card or Manage credit cards.
- Review the amount. It starts at the customer total, and you can change it if needed.
- If the project has more than one open invoice, choose the Invoice the payment should go to. The main invoice is selected by default.
- Save the payment.
The payment is added to the selected invoice and appears under Billing → Payments on the project, just like any other payment.
Important Notes
⚠️ The Order Details block only appears on projects whose project type is linked to your van line.
⚠️ Order dates and charges come from your van line. To get the latest information, use Sync from van line rather than editing jobs.
⚠️ An order with no charges yet shows an empty Charges tab and a $0.00 total.
⚠️ On UniGroup orders, the Abstracts tab is still labeled Distributions.
