Overview
The Cost & Compensation section on the Project page shows all costs and earnings associated with a specific project. Values are automatically calculated based on billing items and configured rates, with the option to make project-level adjustments when needed.
This updated experience introduces a bulk edit view, allowing multiple items to be edited at once while still supporting individual item edits.

Rate Types
Each cost or compensation item supports the following rate types:
Percent (%): Applies a percentage of the associated bill item total.
Flat rate ($): Applies a fixed dollar amount.
Rate per quantity ($ / qty): Multiplies the rate by the bill item quantity.
Adding Custom Cost Items
To add a cost item:
Click Add Cost in the Cost & Compensation section.
Search for an existing item, or create a custom cost item.
Custom cost items support the following calculation methods:
Per Bill: Applied when a bill is present (percent or flat).
Per Variable: Calculated using a selected project variable (for example, weight).
Manual: Entered manually for the project.
Custom costs are useful for one-off or project-specific expenses.
