Overview
When a new lead comes in, you may want to automatically assign a task and send them a welcome email. This article will walk you through how to set that up using automation in Supermove.
You can customize the automation by adding more actions or simplifying it based on your workflow needs.
Overview of Steps
- Create a task template
- Create an email template
- Create a automation using email and task templates
1. Create a task template (for automated tasks)
This will be used for the task that automatically gets created for your team.
- Go to Settings > Tasks
- Click Create Task Template
- Fill in the required fields:
- Task Name
- Template Name
- (Optional) Add a Due In time, Assignee, and Details
- Click Save
2. Create an email template (for automated emails)
- Go to Settings > Email
- Click Create Email Template
- Choose Custom Email Template as the type
- Add:
- Recipients
- Subject Line
- Email Body
- Click Save
Create an Automation using Your Templates
Setting up the Automation
1. Navigate to Settings > Automations
2. Click on Create Automation
3. Enter a Name for your automation and Save
4. You will be navigated to the automation builder page
Add a Trigger
5. Select the desired trigger for the automation. For example, if you want to create a task every time a new lead is created, click on Project > New project created
6. Select the project types that you would like this automation to apply to. You may select more than one project type here
7. Click on Done
Add a Task Action
8. Select the Create task action
9. Select the desired task template
10. Click on Done
11. To send an automated email at the same time, click on the + icon, then select the Send email action
12. Select the desired email template
13. Click on Done
14. Click on Save Automation
15. Finally, when you're satisfied with the flow, toggle the automation active
That’s it! The automation will now trigger every time a new project is created — automatically assigning a task and sending your welcome email.
